Herold Wines is the perfect destination for an outing or weekend getaway in the Garden Route, accessed via the scenic and historic Montagu Pass which winds its way up through the mountains above George in the Southern Cape.

There are comfortable self-catering accommodations in four quaint farm cottages, and several accessible hiking trails into the Outeniqua Nature Reserve or easy farm walks, fynbos footpaths and river swimming pools.

Well over 100 bird species have been listed. Wide-open spaces, secret paths and hideaways between rocks and trees create adventures in nature for children.
