Greetings from Cape Town,
We have had a very busy month once again in Cape Town. What with a
wedding, another new venture and moving into an office in the heart of the City Centre which we share with Go Cards, a new concept here in South Africa.
The first cards are now available at the V & A Waterfront, selling from the V&A Waterfront Boat Company. You purchase the Go Card for R170.00 per adult and in exchange get a R100.00 voucher for a Boat Cruise, plus a lovely lunch R100 voucher from 221 Restaurant, plus a Free wine tasting from The Wine Desk and a 10% discount on a Wine Tour booked through their office. What a bargain for the locals, and visitors. Should you wish to have a ride
on the Wheel of Excellence and produce your “Go Card” you will also get

WEDDING IN CAPE TOWN
Our first Couple from Germany to get married here in Cape Town, through
our new Wedding Website. Nadine and Marcus contacted us the beginning of January and then all the arrangements were started. They would be in the country on a holiday with a group from Germany and wanted to get married while in Cape Town on the 21st February 2011, and have their ring exchange on Signal Hill. Well, our weather played
with and everything was a great success. No Wind for a change!

Tips for Guest Houses: Cleaning
Looking for a 'green' way to clean your taps, sinks or stainless steel?
Take a slice of cucumber and rub it on the surface you want to clean; not only will it remove years of tarnish and bring back the shine, but it won't leave streaks and won't harm you fingers or fingernails while you clean.

Some amazing animal photographs from the flooded areas in Queensland.
Most are so exhausted and scared that they allow humans to be in physical contact - most unusual! I only hope someone rescued the monitor lizard from the fence post, and the snake. The wallaby on the hay bale might have been harder to coax into a boat!
Mr Gelach, a friend who had been affected by many floods told us animals often helped each other out during disasters. “It’s quite common when you have animals in floods, fires or disasters, they actually get together and don’t do
anything. A friend has seen foxes and rabbits forget their hunting instinct during natural disasters. He and his friend
were inspecting flood damage on the property, where waters had risen to about 47cm”. He said.
