November 2024  - No.50 Newsletter

Table Mountain in Cape Town at sunset

Greetings from Cape Town,

At last, we have settled down to start our regular Newsletters once again. Our regular members have all wondered what has happened to my newsletters.   I just hope you are all well and coping under the circumstances. Here at CTC Marketing, we are busy with new ideas for our marketing, and as a Guide in the Tourism Business, we have decided to continue with our online Marketing and advertising all our wonderful Members with their Guest Houses, Game Reserves, and amazing activities. Chris is still very busy contacting the Tour Operators, and his side of the business is going extremely well, we are getting more enquiries  even from Namibia. The coming holiday season looks very promising for the Tourism Market and have seen more visitors coming from different countries than before, although many are couples or smaller groups. December will bring back more larger groups.  I must say that we have had a wonderful response from the cruise liners visiting all along the South African coast right into Namibia and they predict a boom for 2025.

I have connected with many new Facebook pages advertising South Africa and have many new people joining both my Facebook as well as Corbett Tourism Consulting Page,  CTC Adventure and Activities, so they will be able to see what we have on our Website at the same time.  Chris and I have decided that we are now going to turn our overseas packages into local self-drive tours, so that should you wish to have a break from your own home, you will have somewhere else to go and see the rest of South Africa.  We have also started a New Facebook Page for our members and friends in the Northern Cape.  CTC Northern Cape -South Africa,  is giving our members more exposure and having a Tour Operator/Guide who travels regularly to the Northern Cape for 2025..

During the last quiet time, we managed to do an educational in the Garden Route, visiting interesting places and the Northern Cape,  where we were introduced to the Namaqualand Coast, Richtersveld 4x4 tour and some Guest Houses. Just before Easter, we decided to add CTC Northern Cape-South Africa to our Facebook groups. www.experiencenortherncape.com

We also had a wonderful experience at the Garden Route Game Lodge, which is now a 4* Graded Lodge and has had many changes to offer the visitors and guests. They now have some lady Hippos, which were amazing to watch and a very large herd of Buffalo. Their accommodation has been upgraded and they now also boast a beautiful wine cellar where you can also have a private dinner.  www.grgamelodge.co.za

On the Garden Route, we took a wonderful drive over the old Montagu Pass and were introduced to Kaukou Honey Bush tea and their plantation. They will be opening their Country Guest House before Christmas.  Worth a visit and we would recommend that our local Guest Houses and Lodge serve this tea at Breakfast or have some teabags in their bedrooms.  www.kaukou.co.za

We have a New Member who joined us from Willowmore, in the Eastern Cape owning Bhejane Game Reserve where they offer a 2-hour walking Safari with a herd of Giraffes which is very usual.  They also offer B&B, Self-catering cottage accommodation and camping for the adventurer. www.bhejane.co.za

We had a wonderful visit to Colchester and Addo and spent a weekend in the area visiting Zuurberg Mountain Village which is located on top of the Zuurberg mountain range.  The hotel is surrounded by the Addo Elephant National Park, so magnificent views are seen from the Hotel plus some elephants and other animals.  www.zuurbergmountainvillage.co.za

Another interesting Guest House in Colchester is Dungbeetle River Lodge which is located on the banks of the Sundays River and offers Lodge accommodation, and self-catering.  Their Tour company Adventure Destinations, which has transport offers tours to the Addo Elephant National Park, visiting a Game Reserve for the Big 5, river cruises and many other activities in the area. www.adventuredestination-addo.co.za

We wish all our members, business partners and friends a wonderful November through to December 2024.  I am hoping to continue our business newsletters as usual in 2025.  I would also like to thank all our Members, especially those who have been with us for the last 13 years, as our birthday was in October, and of course to the new members who have joined us in the last three years, that they will also enjoy staying with us while we share all their wonderful news, activities, and accommodation.

We are looking forward to your latest photographs, information,HI A or just contacting us to say Hello.

Warm Regards and God Bless,
