Sonskyn is a 5th generation beachfront house, right on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. The home dates back to 1895. Nowhere else will you find such an amazing view of the Atlantic ocean and Table Mountain from you breakfast table. At Sonskyn (Sunshine) you will hear the sounds of the white foaming waves, breaking on the rocks in front of the house and see the surf roll out onto the pebbled beach.

We are Wheelchair friendly, you will be able to walk on the beach as you step out of the front door, enjoy a wonderful English breakfast and have a very comfortable bedroom, still being able to see the ocean and the mountains. We have great hospitality and friendly staff and look forward to welcoming you to our home.

Founded in 1830 on an abandoned station of the London Missionary Society, and initially named Toverberg after a nearby hill, it was renamed Colesberg after Sir Galbraith Lowry Cole, then Governor of the Cape Colony. Toverberg Guest Houses in Colesberg consist of a number of restored historical ‘tuishuise’ in the quiet part of Colesberg, which is a traveler’s oasis on the main routes to the coast and interior where the N1 and the N9 meet. The Units come with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a microwave, a kettle, a shower, a hairdryer and a desk. At the guest house all rooms are equipped with a wardrobe and a private bathroom. Location is perfect. Very clean, great service. There is a barbecue and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking.
